Kayla Austin

Kayla Austin is a social entrepreneur, inventor, published author, filmmaker, and public speaker. She founded My Gun's Been Moved — a patent-pending gun safety startup backed by Pharrell Williams — at age 12, and has since been recognized by Teen Vogue, the Washington Post, Nike, and AfroTech's Future 50.

A Howard University graduate (Summa Cum Laude, 4.0) now pursuing her M.S. in Innovation & Entrepreneurship at USC, Kayla has built campaigns for Meta, Chanel, AT&T, Rocket Companies, and Snap Inc. She works at the intersection of technology, media, and social impact.

Kayla is also a published author of How to Be a Teen Advocate — a practical guide for young people who want to create real change. Her work has been seen in over 20 media features across national and international outlets.
